2008 Press Release: Chamber of Commerce and Industry Week

Mayor Tony Arredia of the City of Des Plaines recently signed a proclamation declaring September 7-13, 2008 as Chamber of Commerce & Industry Week. Chamber Officials met with the Mayor in his City Hall Office to accept the proclamation, which stated, "Chambers of commerce have contributed to the civic and economic life of Illinois for 170 years since the founding of the Galena Chamber of Commerce in 1838...and this year marks the 74th Anniversary of the founding of the Des Plaines Chamber." (Pictured above left to right) Des Plaines Mayor Tony Arredia presents the Chamber of Commerce President Alan Czarnik with the proclamation.
