The Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce & Industry began in 1934 as the Des Plaines Businessman's Association, soon after becoming the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce. After more manufacturers moved into town, the name was then soon changed to add "& Industry". Today, over 600 businesses in Des Plaines, including retailers, manufacturers and service providers of all kinds are proud to call themselves trusted members of the local business community.

New and existing businesses are encouraged to join the Chamber to gain visibility, establish new and profitable relationships, take advantage of numerous benefits for their business and employees, and to plug into the Chamber's topical and informative communications tools such as their monthly newsletter and email alerts.
