assistance. Once a decision has been reached, the City will
make every effort to notify those residents affected through
the City's website, Cable Channel 17 and press releases. |

Oakton/Elmhurst Subarea
On August 14, 2008, the City held a public meeting concerning
the Oakton/Elmhurst Subarea. The City's consultants reviewed
current conditions and issues in the subarea related to land
use, development, traffic, and other challenges connected to the
subarea's future. Subarea stakeholders then participated in an
image preference survey and then gave the consultants comments
about the subarea.
The presentation summarizing the subarea's issues and conditions
can be accessed here. In addition, maps of the subarea are
available here.
